Media NFL Flag Rules 

Ball will Start in the 5 yard line. 

20 minute halves
1 time out per half.

Clock will stop last two minutes of second half after each down. 

4 downs for a first down. On fourth down You may choose to punt if you choose to go for it and are unsuccessful team gets the ball on the spot.
After a first down you get 4 downs to score no option to punt. If you are not successful ball is spotted on the 5. 

Running plays are allowed only on hand offs. 
K-2 Allowed all the time
3-4 all the time except within 5 yards of endzone
5-8 1 run every set of downs except within 5 yards of endzone.

Pitches and laterals are allowed behind the line of scrimmage only.  Ball is dead if hits the ground. 

Quarterback can not run with ball 
Unless it is handed off to him or he goes for a pass. 

Quarterback will have 7 seconds to through ball or ball is dead. 


Blocking is Not allowed at all!!! 

Blitz : Must let Ref know you are Blitzing
1 blitz per set of downs
Blitzer must be 5yards off line of scrimmage 

No Blitz for K-2 Grade, defense must wait for ball to handed off before crossing the line of scrimmage

ONCE ball is handed off  pitched  any one can go after the runner. 

Ball is dead when:
Flag is pulled
Ball carrier Steps out of bounds
Ball carrier Falls to the ground
Or ball hits ground. 


Flag Penalties

Blitz
Must be 5 yards behind line of scrimmage.
5 yard penalty and loss of Blitz

Offense or Defensive offsides 
5 yard 

Safety 
2 points + ball 

No blocking at all 
5 yard penalty 

Any flag not place on side of body.
Warning then 5 yard penalty. 

Flag guarding is prohibited. Warning first time. 
Play is dead where infraction happens..
