Media Flag Rules 

Ball will Start in the 5 yard line. 

20 minute halves

1 time out per half.

Clock will stop last two minutes of second half after each down. 

4 downs for a first down. On fourth down You may choose to punt if you choose to go for it and are unsuccessful team gets the ball on the spot.
After a first down you get 4 downs to score no option to punt. If you are not successful ball is spotted on the 5. 

Running plays are allowed only on hand offs. 
K-2 Allowed all the time
3-4 all the time except within 5 yards of endzone
5-8 1 run every set of downs except within 5 yards of endzone.

No pitches allowed or laterals

Quarterback can not run with ball 
Unless it is handed off to him or he goes for a pass. 

Quarterback will have 7 seconds to through ball or ball is dead. 


Blocking is Not allowed at all!!! 

Blitz : Must let Ref know you are Blitzing
1 blitz per set of downs
Blitzer must be 5yards off line of scrimmage 

No Blitz for K-2 Grade 

If ball is handed off any one can go after the runner. 

Ball is dead when:
Flag is pulled
Ball carrier Steps out of bounds
Ball carrier Falls to the ground
Or ball hits ground. 


Flag Penalties

Blitz
Must be 5 yards behind line of scrimmage.
5 yard penalty and loss of Blitz

Offense or Defensive offsides 
5 yard 

Safety 
2 points + ball 

No blocking at all 
5 yard penalty 

Any flag not place on side of body.
Warning then 5 yard penalty. 

Flag guarding is prohibited. Warning first time. 
Play is dead where infraction happened.

Media Youth Center Sports are new programs that will be offered outside of our traditional "In House" Basketball League.
Media Youth Center goal is to give the Residents of the Rose Tree Media School District and surrounding areas some different opportunities when it comes to exercise and sports. We know not all kids play the "Traditional sports" So hopefully we can get more kids and adults as well more involved. 


Coming in Fall Of 2023

Co-ED Ultimate Frisbee for Grades 4th-5th, 6th-8th and High school

Co-ED Speed ball Hockey for Grades 4th-5th, 6th-8th and High school

Gym Night/Day will be an  8 week program that kids will play a variety of games each week.  Games could include but not limited to dodge ball, whiffle ball, kick ball, 4 square.  

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament/ league 4th-Adult

MYC's All-Sports Camp will take place the two weeks after MYCamp ends just before the start of the RTMSD school year. Children will participate in activities like kickball, basketball, flag football, team handball, wiffleball, dodgeball, and more!

• Dates: Session 1: Aug. 14th-17th | Session 2: Aug. 21-24
• Times: Mon-Thurs 9a-1p (drop-off begins at 8:45a | carline used for pick-up)
• Ages: boys & girls entering grades 3rd-6th
• Cost: $110 per camper
